French Beans Sabzi | Green Beans With Cashew And Coconut | Recipe

This french beans ki sabzi is tasty and healthy yet very easy to make. It has the crunch of the beans and cashew and sweetness of the fresh coconut. It is a perfect dish to have with rotis. But this also tastes amazing if you simply have it as a salad.

  • 500 gm French beans/ Green beans cut into small pieces
  • 1 cup Fresh Coconut scraped
  • 3-4 Green chilies ground into a paste
  • 20-25 Cashew nuts
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1.5 tsp Cumin-corriander powder
  • 1.5 tsp Sugar
  • A few curry leaves
  • Salt to taste
  1. Heat oil in a wok.

  2. Add mustard seeds and let them crackle.

  3. Add curry leaves and then the green chili paste.

  4. Fry the paste for a minute and the add the chopped french beans and mix well.

  5. Then add cumin-corriander powder, salt and half a cup of water.

  6. Mix everything well and cover and cook it for 10-12 minutes.

  7. While the beans are cooking roast the cashew nuts.

  8. Once the beans are cooked add sugar. (Skip sugar if you dont like the sabzi to be sweet)

  9. Add roasted cashew and scraped coconut and mix well.

  10. Turn off the flame and garnish with more cashew and coconut and serve hot.
